Happy Student Day, December 7th.
Message from the President of Lorestan University on the occasion of Student Day
Dr. Khosro Azizi, President of Lorestan University, congratulated the arrival of Student Day (December 7th) in a message.
The text of the message from the President of Lorestan University is as follows:
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I congratulate all students and academics of Lorestan province on the arrival of Student Day (December 7th).
We commemorate the memory of the three student martyrs, Ghandchi, Bozorgnia, and Shariat-Razavi, who stood up against colonialism, led by the United States, and the Pahlavi tyranny in 1953, and December 7th, in memory of the sacrifices of these three martyrs of independence and freedom, was named Student Day and became a lasting event in the political history of the country.
Undoubtedly, students are a progressive, truth-telling, religious, ethical, and demanding group and have played important roles in the victory of the glorious Islamic Revolution of Iran, the preservation of the sacred system of the Islamic Republic, the period of the Sacred Defense, and the numerous scientific advancements of the country.
The spirit of anti-colonialism, freedom-seeking, and demanding, which has always been one of the characteristics of students, should be strengthened more than ever in university environments.
Also, continuing the path and keeping alive the memory of the martyrs and promoting the culture of sacrifice and martyrdom among young people and students is a permanent mission for all of us.
I hope that dear students, as in the past, with their creativity and scientific innovations, will expand our country's achievements in various fields of progress and that, continuously, with the scientific and research efforts of academics, new horizons will be revealed on the path of further elevating Islamic Iran.
Once again, I congratulate the university community on Student Day.
President of Lorestan University: Khosro Azizi
